Character and emphasis The Nederlands Textiel Museum was founded in 1958. It is located in Tilburg, an important centre of the textile industry in the 19th century. The fields of interest of the museum are textiles: its manufacturing, techniques and history, textile design (costumes, interior decoration) and contemporary textile arts. The library reflects the collection of the museum.
