Character and emphasis The Kröller-Müller Museum was founded by Helène Kröller-Müller to house the splendid art collection she had formed. It is now one of the principal museums of modern and contemporary art in the Netherlands, and is famous for its large sculpture garden and forest (25 hectare altogether). The library reflects the museum's collection, specializing in the fine arts of the 19th and 20th century, and sculpture mostly since 1945. The library also includes books on architectural drawings, in relation to the museum's important holdings in this field, and pays special attention to landscape architecture and sculpture gardens.
